I have been working in the field of textile crafts for about 20 years now in a variety of capacities including running the yarn department in a shop and as assistant editor of the online knitting magazine, knitonthenet.com. I’ve a strong background in textile history, writing, teaching and making. I currently have a lovely online vintage haberdashery shop specialising in midcentury knitting and sewing.
I’m currently available for the following:
Writing: Freelance assignments for print or online publication, especially on topics relating to knitting, the history of textiles, and learning craft skills.
Editing: Copy-editing your articles, e-books or other written documents.
Talks and presentations: Topics relating to my own knitting art projects, knitting and other textile crafts, textile history, learning craft skills.
Consulting: Brainstorming creative ideas. Casting a fresh eye over your creative endeavors with a constructive point of view.
Exhibitions: The ongoing Mrs Miniver series or my other projects.
Teaching knitting: I’ve something in the works and I’ll be adding more information soon!
If you think we should be working together on an exciting project, drop me a line!
If you want to collaborate on a project, do get in touch too: I’m always up for new art project ideas.
