Enter, Wonky Babbidge

Giles and I have been harbouring a secret these past few months, and yesterday were finally able to announce it to the wider world.

I have been busy growing a whole new person! I’ll need to get cracking on a few more baby clothes before next February that’s for sure.

I won’t bore you with the finer details, except to say it was a surprise baby, on the early dating scan looked like a cashew nut, and after a good bout of morning sickness for me, is growing well.

It has earned itself the moniker of ‘Wonky Babbidge’ as on the 12 week scan it wriggled and jiggled and flipped upside down for it’s close up (which I’m not going to share anywhere online as it weirds me out a little).

Needless to say, we are both thrilled, as are our families, and it’s going to be all systems go from now to February with our long-planned November wedding, and a baby in the mix!

For those who would like to know, the cardigan that I knitted above is ravelled, here, is Sirdar pattern 1643 and I knitted it in 0-6 months size out of Patons Fairytale Dreamtime 4ply in a fab lime green. It was knitted flat and came out really nicely.

Oh, and if you have any baby patterns that you would recommend, please do give me a shout in the comments. I need to get my needles clicking!
