Would you honestly think that they were talking about rabbits? Perhaps you might if you were a spinner, as the fur of the angora rabbit is one of the softest fibres around.

Do click the arrow to watch this great British Pathe video clip from 1940 all about how angora is harvested and made into yarn. I must say that the rabbits are very placid compared to the one that I saw at Farnham’s Unravel yarn festival a couple of years ago.
