Come Dine with Kate – 4th – 24th July 2010.
I stumbled upon the exhibition “Come Dine With Kate” recently while in London. Displayed in the lovely airy Rebecca Hossack Gallery, this was the latest show from textile artist, Kate Jenkins. Kate crochets really exquisite works on the theme of eating. In this exhibition, she made a fantasy dinner party with fine wines, food and entertainment. All of the pieces were beautifully crocheted and embroidered, to a very high standard and displayed as framed works. My personal favourite was the sequinned Stargazey Pie which looked mouthwatering, even as crochet.
